As part of the Faculty of Nursing – Benha University’s commitment to developing the academic advising system and enhancing the quality of support provided to students, the first day of the Training Program for New Academic Advisors was launched. The program aims to qualify academic advisors and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their advising duties efficiently and effectively.

The training program includes a variety of important topics that contribute to enhancing academic advisors’ competencies, improving their understanding of their roles and responsibilities, and developing effective mechanisms for communicating with students and monitoring their academic progress. It also addresses appropriate methods of providing academic and counseling support to students.

The training program was conducted over two days, as follows:

? Day One

First Session:
Prof. Dr. Ahlam Al-Ahmady, Professor of Community Health Nursing, delivered a lecture entitled:
“Fundamentals of Academic Advising.”

Second Session:
Assist. Prof. Dr. gehad Gamal, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing, delivered a lecture entitled:
“The Credit Hour System.”

? Day Two

First Session:
Prof. Dr. Naglaa Fathy El-Attar, Professor of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, and director of psychological support unit , delivered a lecture entitled:
“How to Provide Psychological and Social Support to Students.”

Second Session:
Prof. Dr. Mona Mohamed Abdel-Aziz, Professor of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, delivered a lecture entitled:
“Supporting Students with Special Needs and Academically At-Risk Students.”

? The implementation of this training program reflects the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of the educational process, supporting students, and activating the academic advising system in alignment with quality assurance and accreditation standards.
