Benha University advances 139 positions according to the Spanish Webometrics Classification, July 2022

Prof. Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University President announced that Benha University has advanced 139 positions according to the Spanish Webometrics Classification that issued in July 2022, as it ranked 1225 among more than 31 thousand universities around the world that participated in the classification. At the level of Arab World, Benha University has occupied the rank 23th among 1361 of Arabian universities.
At the level of Africa, Benha University has occupies the rank 22nd among 2090 African universities. At the local level, Benha University has occupied the rank 7th among 76 public and private universities that participated at the classification on the level of Egypt.
For his part , Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs , pointed out that this classification depends on three indicators to measure the performance of universities around the world, which are the index of openness, research excellence and influence. El Gizawy also added that Benha University has ranked 1200 in the Openness Index, and ranked 843 globally, with a progression of 227 positions over the previous version in the Research Excellence Index, and also has ranked 4023 globally, with an advance of 100 positions over the previous version in the Impact Index. Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy said that the number of the University reference scientific citations has reached 137.895 comparing with the previous edition which was 125,475 referring to an increase of 12,420 citations in only six months.
He also said that this progress reflects the university's keenness to continue excellence in this classification with its various edition and it came as a result for the concerted efforts of all the University's employees, including faculty members, their assistants, young researchers and administrators at various levels to achieve distinguished position for Benha University at the global, African and Arab levels.

El Gizawy announces Results of Citations Rewards, July 2022

Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research said that the Technical Committee for examining the scientific production at Benha University under auspices of Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President has announced results of International Publication and Citations Rewards, July 2022 .For his part, El Gizawy mentioned that Citations Rewards, July 2022 comes within the framework of improving the output of scientific research at the University and encouraging the faculty members to publish their research in international scientific journals .
He also added that the number of submitted scientific researches is 543 , that number is distributes on 11 faculties as following ; Commerce, Specific Education, Nursing, Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Agriculture, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, and Science. He added that the number of citations will be calculated based on the last 5 years, according to the declared calculations of faculty member on Google Scholar; referring that anyone who has a Google Scholar account for paper that does not belong to him and uploaded it on Google Scholar will be blocked from the rewards of the University's programs for researches support. BU President: We are keen to link the University's Strategic plan to Egypt's Vision 2030

Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President has confirmed on importance of the University's role in the civil society and effective participation of the civil society to prepare the new strategic plan of Benha University 2030.
For his part, Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa mentioned that the meeting comes according to directions of President Abdel-Fattah El Sisi, the President of the Republic, to pay attention to the development of the educational process and to link the scientific research to industry to be effective with all challenges that faces our society in all fields. The meeting was held in presence of Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Mahmoud Iraqi, the general supervisor of the community service and environmental development sector, Dr. Fatma Abdel Wahab, the director of the strategic planning unit at the University, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation , Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Education, Agriculture, Social Solidarity& Manpower in Qalyubia, Director of the Adult Education Authority, Secretary of the National Council for Women, Director of the Relief Center, Director of the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine, Director of Land and Water Department at the Directorate of Agriculture, and Director of Public Relations for Qulubia Irrigation. For his part, Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy said that the University's strategic plan includes 8 strategic goals, as the University seeks to prepare a good graduate whi has ability to compete at labor market , to improve its academic, research and community outcomes and link scientific research with industry and community needs. He also added that the University keen to link its strategic and research plan with the strategic objectives of the state and Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030
